About the Author
C. K. McAdam is an author of historical fiction whose work explores the rich interplay between literature, history, art, and architecture.
With a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Humanities, she brings a deeply researched and evocative lens to the past, crafting stories that illuminate forgotten voices and complex eras. Her academic background includes studies in literature, history, and creative writing, all of which inform her nuanced storytelling.
Over the years, she has explored various genres—playwriting, screenwriting, and poetry—but historical fiction remains her true literary home, both as a writer and a reader.
C. K.’s debut novel, No Man’s Land, was inspired by her family history, her upbringing, and the tension-filled backdrop of Cold War East Germany. Her second novel, The Seamstress of Auschwitz, draws on true events and explores themes close to her heart. Her latest release, The Poet’s Daughter, transports readers to the era of the Napoleonic Wars and the world of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, following the journey of Anna, a young woman unexpectedly drawn into the poet's orbit.
In addition to writing fiction, C. K. teaches literature, history, culture, and film at a university in Texas. She has also published academic articles and book chapters in her fields of expertise.
When she’s not writing, she enjoys spending time with family and friends (and her spirited corgi, Merlin), reading, hiking, traveling, and playing pickleball.
